U-CAT 1102 is a thermal latent alkali generator. It is a DBN 2-ethylcaproate that is active at about 100 degrees Celsius. It is a general-purpose grade DBN salt.

How to make U-CAT 1102
U-CAT 1102 is prepared by the reaction of DBN with 2-ethylcaproic acid in the presence of a catalyst, such as hydrochloric acid.
Use U-CAT 1102
U-CAT 1102 is used as a curing agent for polyurethane foam. Also used as a hardener for epoxy and polyester resins.

Precautions for use of U-CAT 1102
· U-CAT 1102 is a flammable material. It should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat and fire sources.
· U-CAT 1102 can cause skin irritation and eye damage. Wear gloves and goggles when handling.
· U-CAT 1102 should not be ingested. If swallowed, it may cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
· If U-CAT 1102 comes into contact with skin, wash the area immediately with soap and water. If U-CAT 1102 gets into your eyes, rinse with water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.
