BASF and Sulzer Chemtech sign MoU to collaborate on sustainable technologies

Latest: BASF and Sulzer Chemtech signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance renewable fuel technology and chemical recycling of plastics, further expanding the partnership between the partners A portfolio of sustainable solutions. The two companies agreed to enter into a strategic partnership to reduce the carbon intensity of renewable diesel and jet fuels. They will also drive the development of innovative, cost-effective chemical treatment solutions to facilitate the conversion of plastic waste into new plastics. The collaboration has complementary areas of expertise, combining Sulzer Chemtech’s capabilities in licensed processing technologies and mass transfer equipment with BASF’s cutting-edge high-performance adsorbents and catalysts.

Sulzer Chemical Technologies, a licensee of process technologies for chemical recycling of renewable fuels and plastics, is working to harness resources and help global producers achieve their net zero goals. BASF Process Catalysts
It is promoting several practices aimed at converting waste plastics into secondary raw materials, such as through its newly developed PuriCycle® product portfolio, as well as providing sorbents and catalytic materials to produce clean and renewable fuels.
