Wen Gang, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China Chemical, Dr. Lou Jianfeng, Chairman and President of BASF Greater China, Lin Hanping, Global Senior Vice President of BASF China New Integrated Base and General Manager of BASF Integrated Base (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., BASF Asia Pacific Dr. Kenobo, Vice President of District Indirect Procurement, and Pan Nanhua, Global Vice President of Integrated Project Management of BASF’s New Integrated Base in China, attended and witnessed the signing ceremony. Liu Dehui, Deputy Secretary of the China Chemical Party Committee, and Dr. Tian Yaqing, Global Senior Vice President of Integrated Project Management of BASF’s New Integrated Base in China, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
According to the agreement, the two parties will, in accordance with the principle of mutual benefit, give full play to their respective advantages, jointly build a close cooperation mechanism, and jointly promote the construction of the BASF Zhanjiang integrated base project. .
China Chemical has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with BASF Group, and China Chemical has provided all-round support for the development of BASF Group’s business in China. Based on the trust in Sinochem’s engineering construction and project execution capabilities, BASF finally chose Sinochem as an important partner for the construction of the base. The construction partner framework agreement signed this time was determined through the “uniform signing and negotiation” model on the basis of full communication and exchanges between the two parties. It is also the first construction partner framework agreement in the history of BASF Group.
The total investment of the BASF Zhanjiang integrated base project is about 10 billion euros (until 2030), which is the largest single investment project in the history of BASF Group. After the project is completed, Zhanjiang, Guangdong will become the third largest integrated production base of BASF Group in the world, after Ludwigshafen in Germany and Antwerp in Belgium.
