Solubility/Dilution
In general, Desmodur® VP LS 2394 has good compatibility with the listed solvents. However, the stability of the resulting solution must always be tested. Desmodur® VP LS 2394 can be diluted with ethyl acetate, butyl acetate and 1-methoxypropyl acetate-2. Aromatics are not true solvents and therefore have only limited compatibility as diluents. Prolonged storage of solutions with low binder content may result in turbidity and precipitation. Use only PU grade solvents (<0.05% water content). Solvents must not contain reactive groups.
Compatibility
Desmodur® VP LS 2394 is compatible with many polyester based Desmophen® products, with limited compatibility with hydroxy-containing acrylates. In general, Desmodur® VP LS 2394 is compatible with Desmodur® products.
Features/Applications
Fast drying times are especially beneficial for clear and pigmented coats applied to wood.
Application of curtain coating process is also possible.
Save
– Store in original airtight Covestro container.
– Recommended storage temperature: > 0 – 30°C.
– Protects against moisture, heat and foreign objects.
General Information: This product is moisture sensitive. Storage at elevated temperatures will cause color and viscosity to increase.
Storage Time
Within six months after the date of shipment stated in the corresponding shipping document, the product will meet the specifications or values stated in the “Specification or characteristic data” section above, provided the product is stored, In full compliance with the storage conditions described and referenced in the “Storage” section above and otherwise handled properly. A failure within the six-month period does not necessarily mean that the product no longer meets specifications or setpoints. However, it is recommended that such products be tested before using them if they still meet the specifications or set values. No representations have been made with respect to the product after the six-month period and the manufacturer assumes no responsibility or liability for any failure of the product to meet specifications or settings after the six-month period.
