Evonik increases production capacity of ACEMATT® matting agents
Latest: Evonik’s Coating Additives business line is expanding its ACEMATT® manufacturing facility in Taiwan
Production capacity of precipitated matting agents. The substantial increase in capacity will help meet the growing demand for matting agents in Asia, with capacity expansion planned for the second half of 2023.
“The capacity expansion of our leading matting agent in Taiwan further underscores our commitment to the growing market in Asia and to all our regional and multinational customers,” said Maximilian, Head of Industrial and Transportation Coatings, Evonik Coating Additives
Morin said.
“We continue to expand our position as a true global partner for coatings customers by offering the same high-quality products from our production sites in multiple regions. In a context of increasing logistical challenges, such an investment will also improve our global presence by further improving supply, which directly benefits our partners and customers around the world.”
ACEMATT matting agents produced in Taiwan have the same properties as those currently produced at Evonik’s production site in Bonn, Germany.
ACEMATT is Evonik’s brand of matting agent products. ACEMATT helps formulators find the right balance of matting performance and ease of integration into coating systems. In addition, ACEMATT products allow formulators to achieve a full range of matting levels from semi-gloss to ultra-deep matt, in a variety of industrial and transportation applications from textiles to plastic, leather, can and coil coatings. In addition to providing a refined appearance and delicate touch, ACEMATT silica matting agents have minimal effect on the viscosity of coating formulations and excellent dispersion properties, making them ideal for a wide variety of coating applications.
